My dad was not only just a father to me but a mentor. He was my best friend and taught me the greatest lessons in life. The greatest lesson he taught me was to just live and love every second we are alive. My dad looks like some punk that would just ride motorcycles, but in reality he was the biggest softie you could’ve met. My dad would hide zebra cakes for me under my pillow when I would have a bad day, or read me poems when I felt like the world was crashing down on me. He would drive me to school because he didn’t want me to stand outside in the cold. My father taught me how to just be the best person I could and accept everyone with open arms. He wrote me a letter on my 17th birthday and said that I gave him the best 6,205 days of his life, but what I don’t think he realized is he gave me the most adventurous, loved, and memorable 6,205 days of mine. He was my best friend and the best father a girl could’ve asked for. About a year ago he had me write down things to always remember incase he passed so I thought id just list a couple of the things he had me write down:
”Dont live like tomorrows your last day, live how you want to be remembered“
”Normal is just a setting on a washing machine”
”it’s not the age it’s the mileage“
He had an old wise soul. He will always be remembered to me as the greatest life coach and best friend anyone could’ve had and I will forever love and miss him. ❤️
